 Union County continues to have only one confirmed COVID-19 case. Wallowa County does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) website, https://govstatus.egov.com/OR-OHA-COVID-19, reported the total number of confirmed cases in the state has increased from 414 yesterday to 479 today. Over 10,000 results of individuals tested state-wide are currently reported, and as test results continue to be processed by private laboratories numbers will continue to increase. Additional information included on the OHA website reports Oregon’s total hospitalizations (117 of which 31 are on ventilators), confirmed cases not hospitalized (266) as well as hospitalization status not reported (96). Other available demographic information includes ages, counties, and hospital capacities.

A recap of some of the information provided this past week:

La Grande School District is planning to begin a supplemental learning program on April 1. The school district is asking each household with students to complete a survey to determine support services and delivery needs during the COVID-19 school closure. The survey and additional information can be found on the district website at https://lagrandesd.org/.

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) announced the creation of a Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF) to support U.S. restaurant workers financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Starting April 2, 2020, impacted restaurant workers will be able to apply online for a one-time, $500 check to use towards housing, transportation, utilities, child-care, groceries, medical bills and/or student loans. These grants will be administered by the NRAEF and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For application process information visit https://rerf.us/.
There have been many questions to health care professionals regarding confusion around testing guidelines and when to seek medical care. FAQ’s include when should you go to the hospital for care versus staying at home, when to contact your primary care physician, and what symptoms to watch for.

Local Law Enforcement noted they are receiving multiple questions about enforcement of the executive orders issued by Governor Brown earlier this week. Oregon State Police provided a list of frequently asked questions http://union-county.org/faq local law officials are supporting.
