There have been many questions to health care professionals regarding confusion around testing guidelines and when to seek medical care. Grande Ronde Hospital created an informative video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j801VAwaE0Y to include some of the frequently asked questions they have been receiving. FAQ’s include when should you go to the hospital for care versus staying at home, when to contact your primary care physician, and what symptoms to watch for.

Local Law Enforcement noted they are receiving multiple questions about enforcement of the executive orders issued by Governor Brown earlier this week. Oregon State Police provided a list of frequently asked questions http://union-county.org/faq local law officials are supporting.

Union County Parks announced late yesterday all Union County campgrounds and restrooms are closed until further notice. This includes Mt. Emily Recreation Area, and Pilcher Creek, Thief Valley, and Wolf Creek Reservoirs. If you plan to use any of the park for day use, please adhere to social distancing requirements by maintaining a minimum distance of six feet from others.

Union County continues to have only one confirmed COVID-19 case which was announced last week by Union County Public Health. Wallowa County does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) website, https://govstatus.egov.com/OR-OHA-COVID-19, reported the total number of confirmed cases in the state has increased from 209 yesterday to 266 today. There has been a back-log of tests pending completion. Additional private laboratories throughout the state have been approved to assist with testing, and it is anticipated the Oregon confirmed numbers will continue to show significant increases.

In support of disaster relief efforts throughout the country, the Oregon National Guard will be delivering critical supplies to Union County tomorrow afternoon.
